i've watched his routine. he acts in a way i think is embarrassing for my black people. it's not black excellence.

watch paul mooney. he's another great comedian that we need more of. dikk gregory. these are intelligent and insightful brothers whose hilarious commentary on the black condition i respect. kevin hart is successful, but he's just another in a long line of ghetto acting black comedians that relate these ghetto stories interspersed with a lot of cuss words and not much else.

Anyway, Kevin has his moments. I think he's great at improv and stand up, not so good on movies and tv shows.

It's pretty disgusting what he's doing with the NBA, always trying to have jokes and be the butt of jokes...he seems like the type who people don't even want to be around and he's just there nagging and annoying everybody.

I thought i was the only one who noticed this.
I never understood why people found him funny.

His voice is annoying.

He's like that short kid in class who no one cared about, so he tries be as funny as he can to get some attention.

I think that might be your issue...you're expecting something from him that he's just not trying to present. The examples you gave are comedians from a certain era in history. There's a totally different way of thinking between these generations. I've seen maybe all of Hart's stand-ups and he pretty much presents stuff thru comedic stories involving himself or family. I find it muuuuch more funnier than "black people do this...and white people do that" kinda comedy. And Kevin's still pretty young, i'm sure as he gets older he'll probably be less animated. But his animation is appealling.

Seems like 'cause he's black you're coming down on him extra hard.
