Why does Magna Carta suck again?

i think some people just didnt like the way they were trying to market the album, the brands he was talking about, the weird art references, the promo for the adverts/commercials , for some of us that have been listening to jay for years we just knew he could do way better.

fukkWithMeYouKnowIGotIt was an ok club banger from what i can remember, my breh use to play that in the whip when it first came out

my fave track was Picasso Baby, some of the lines stood out to me plus the beat was nice but the video was on some vibe


they should of made a video for the BBC track

Success is definitely their best collab. The others have been either flat out bad, or underwhelming

I actually really liked the album when it came out. I played it a ton, almost too much.

That shyt sat untouched for a long time and when I popped it back on, I realized it's just really hallow. It was a very in the moment album. The production, the lyrics, the art references, it all seems like just in that 6 months in time it came out.

There were very few 'WOW' lines for Jay-z on it. Not that it was completely horrible but it certainly was not top notch MCing. I'd say it's more towards lazy than anything.

I think most of yall just got the bar set too high, it's like if he doesn't drop another Reasonable Doubt or American Gangster he's washed. I don't know, only reason I listen to Hov is to hear him talk that shyt. That album was more about the shift in the industry to me than music, I thought that samsung shyt was dope.
