Being a good mother and father are social constructs defined by western culture. There is no natural/instinctive formula on how to construct a family or who should be present in said family,

In other cultures it is considered normal for the dad to not be involved in a child's upbringing at all and in some cultures it's vice versa

So why do we shame and belittle people who don't want to be a parents in the states?

Because social stigma aside they're not doing anything that's wrong

Breh you need to recalibrate your whole moral compass if you believe this goofy shyt
There is no right or wrong breh

It's all determined by the standards of our society

If you we're born apart of the NA culture in china you wouldn't feel that way

can we get the names of the cultures of both scenarios? is this deadbeat dad/mom completely adopting the culture of these foreigners or is he/she only adopting this particular practice that suits his/her deadbeatery?
