Why does Panama not get enough credit for actually starting reggaeton?

I mean it seems like Puerto Rico had created it from Jamaicans from Dembow. They have helped alot with expanding reggaeton but at the same time give credit where credit is due. :ohhh:

Why don't Panamians speak up more about their contribution to the genre?:ohhh:

Panama only had one star artist, El General, and he fizzled out after a few years in the early 90s

They also didnt have a producer that molded the sound of the genre. PR had a lot of producers (many who were Dominican) as well as talented artists

But reggaeton didnt become a real money maker until the mid/late 90s once dope producers started popping up. Then once the early 2000s came it was a worldwide phenomenon
