If your a black female r&b artist of today, I really feel sorry for you. That lane is quickly closing in with alot of talented Singers/song makers are being boxed in with record companies trying to close the lid on it completely.

And the sadder thing these Singers thats trying to go the Rihanna route and ratcheting it up to stay revelant aint pushing units either.

I dare say that the ratchet strip club culture is killing traditional black music and black life. The tricking culture has to die out first before it makes a comeback.

She only sounds great with a Chris Brown feature or collab. It Won't Stop. Hristmas Came Early. Despite having her tape outside that I couldn't tell you what her other songs are.

This is the main reason why I've given up on listening to American artists. The lyrics are just to vulgar and I'm tired of being called every negative word for female possible.

I listen to all African artists and all the artists I listen to don't have any vulgarity and if they do, it's automatically edited from the song.
Kind of why I like listening to house music....no lyrics or minimal vocals.

Good to study and work to
I consider house music to be the most African of American music imo.

But I mean this shyt is fire...

By artists? or just black artists.....because man if ed sherran or adele drop a soulful record the world goes crazy and so amazed by their unique vocal cords.

Heck we don't even talk about it on here....

I mean this is a beautiful remake :wow:

Another slept artist that just happened to find on youtube is Dreezy:

I literally hear the same wack rihanna and DJ Khaled song on the radio all the time, when there's a lot of dope music that coming out but gets no radio play :scusthov:

Those are both good songs. In another time they would be getting some legit spin
