i get how its the future but not everyone like doing that type of stuff, most people are only going to be good/great at things that they like to do.
how would you feel if I made a country where if you cant dunk a basketball on a 10-ft rim, then your denied every opprotunity of a decent life.

Not everyone likes doing that type of stuff, but STEM majors and health related majors are valuable. Way more valuable than a philosophy major. I think that going to college to major in things like humanities, anthropology, sociology, and etc is pretty much worthless. The only time I think it's ok is if you plan to continuously conduct beneficial research, become a tenured professor, or use that degree in relation to furthering you career (becoming a dean, becoming an occupational therapist, a principal, and etc).

fukk what people say :yeshrug:

If you wanna go to film school than do that shyt.

The problem is most people really don't like taking chances.

Yeah, you might love filmmaking and want to become a director in Hollywood. But you could get a STEM degree and get a job quicker/not have to live like a bum until you get your big break.

Because they're one of the most employable, with some of he highest starting salaries, and endless opportunities after starting a career.
If you don't like math, science, or technology then pick up an easy major like Finance or Business Administration or something.
:stopitslime: Finance and business Administration are on two different levels. You was better off saying marketing

That other thread got you in your feelings, huh? :whew: To answer your question, the only people who typically make a big deal out of STEM majors are the ones who aren't in it; within the STEM majors, there are the nerds who are upset at everyone/everything else and try to put others down, but that's another story. These days, there's also a big push by the government to get more people in those fields. I agree that it really isn't for everyone; no point in pursuing a field you have no interest in.

People always big up fields or careers they aren't actually involved in for a variety of reasons , thus setting up delusions for parties interested in pursuing.

I was taught to always follow my passion, so I actually enjoy waking up in the morning headed to my career as oppose to just treating it like another job.

But people are different.
