As the resident PND stan, do you really think if he was signed directly to Warner lets say, or even another boutique like TDE or MMG... that he wouldn't be a mega star right now? I could see Rick Ross betting the farm on a talent of this level... Yet PND3 best joints are already distributed on drakes last 2 albums

if he signed to Warner he'd receive a way bigger push, like what interscope doing for Tory. OVO out here dropping videos for Come And See Me way too late, not even paying for the Not Nice vid (which still hasn't dropped)

Come And See Me re-entered the charts tho so we'll see how far it goes

Drake is a terrible label boss. Other than PND he does next to nothing to promote his artists, the most he might do is post a picture of their mixtape/EP cover on instagram.

He should make an OVO compilation album that includes him and all of his artists. Just his name alone would be enough to sell the album and get his people some shine, but he won't because he'd rather dikkride Future, Gucci, dancehall artists, drill rappers, and UK rappers.

And before anyone calls me a hater, I'd like to point out that I own NWTS, Take Care, and PND's first two albums.

Drake obviously doesnt want to market OVO artist like the Roc, G unit, MMG, etc where they are a crew and they riding the wave of the most popular artist

OVO artist get to make the music they want to make and put out the music they want to put out. Isn't that what y'all want from artist anyway?

I'm not the one who brought the billboard numbers into this conversation. But while we here, it proves my first point in this thread - makes more sense to let the Drakes and Rihannas of the world use your songs. If Rihanna released Come And See Me it would be a top 10 record

It's more of an R&B/Pop label. Hip Hop wise it's just Drake and you can almost call him a hybrid at this point.
