LA is coming up a lot here, but LA in real life doesn't have a complex about NY at all. Neither does the South, from when I was there.

It's really on TheColi, which makes me think it's not south and LA nikkas so much and people from other places.

So if the problem isn't west coasters or southerners?who else could it be?

I almost feel you may be trolling with this thread. How can New Yorkers take pride in being so blunt and "opinionated",then wonder why peope come at NY. Maybe New Yorkers underestimate how much most people in most regions don't like that shyt,ESPECIALLY if you are not on your A game yourself.People can't wait for you to be caught out there and being hypocritical. And Quite frankly NY hasn't been on its A game musically but remain very opinionated while being hypocritical

This is almost like Christians not understanding why we are always attacked. Even if you are not one of those New Yorkers,you will recieve the backlash due to the large segment of opinionated NY hiphop enthusiast/hypocrites that exist online and IRL.

Now explain why New Yorkers always assume people wan't to be from NY or are jealous?New Yorkers even use this on people from LA,when I think far more people wish they could move to LA for the weed,weather and women. As well as using that against ATL people when nikkas are moving here in droves.


Hopefully New Yorkers realize they come off as haters and possibly jealous,and people don't like it. I don't condone people blindly hating in return,but you cant be haters and then call other people haters and jealous. Its almost like whites calling black people racist.

NY is simply a superior city a superior state and a superior way of life.

The problem with NY is this superiority is not translating to music due to the cities internal problems.

Thus you have a scenario where you have people who look to NY for swag, fashion and lifestyle but at the same time are able to poke fun at the fact that their is a weak music scene.

There is a reason why cats like French, Rocky, Buddens, Dave East, Jim Jones, NORE, Puff etc. are able to make such crazy boss moves, get money, pull bad bytches n such despite the fact they do not compare to Drakes, Kendricks, Future's and Big Sean's musical relevancy at all.

Its because when you from NY you are intrinsically cooler than your contemporaries, point blank period, music is just one piece of the puzzle.
