  1. The man doesn't even write his own shyt. He has a legion of artists volunteering their style for him to use.
  2. He is in the peak of his ghostwriting career. He made it through QM situation and still has a career. So it's safe to assume that he doing that shyt x10 right now.
  3. He has one of the best producers in the game
  4. He has had 2 years to make it

Put yourself in drakes shoes. In those conditions, even YOU could make a classic album

Drake has never been this popular before. Just look at the amount of threads about him on here. Look at all the responses.

IYRTITL was a solid 8/10 in quality. And he promoted that as a MIXTAPE. That should give you an idea of how good the album is going to be

The pressure is on drake. EVERYONE will be listening to this album. He even named it after the city he's been repping for 2 years. If this album is shyt, then drake is FINISHED.

He even went as far as culturally appropriating another genre of music.:francis:

And your trying to tell me drake wont produce a classic? :what:I love to hate on drake as much as the next guy, but at least be logical with the hate. Don't be like the drake stans that think with emotion :shaq2:

there's already a thread on this.

but there is no pretending. drake can't make classic album because he's gonna chase hits until his popularity fades. He's not concerned with making a classic either.

Drake just need to keep making pop hits and songs for hoes and get his paper....

I understand wanting to make a classic and being critically acclaimed. But I just don't think it's in him to make a cohesive body of work or a classic album..

Your first 2 reasons why you think it will are the exact reasons why it won't be considered classic.
That won't stop the blogs and the media from promoting it as a classic.

Use others making a "classic" for him as examples of why he can make a classic himself brehs

The 48 Laws of Power: Law 7: Get Others to Do the Work for You

Use the wisdom, knowledge, and legwork of other people to further your own cause. Not only will such assistance save you valuable time and energy, it will give you an aura of efficiency and speed. In the end your helpers will be forgotten and you will be remembered. Never do yourself what others can do for you.

Like I said. Hip-hop has a wider fan base now. There are a lot of cacs and non-cacs who don't know the 'rules' of hip-hop. Those people outnumber the real hip-hop heads and they don't care about the ghost writing. In the end, these people will work together to carry the album as a classic.

The only way people will collectively turn against the idea of it being a classic, is if social media turns on drake; or we have a remake of last summer, where drake clashes with another rapper.

I agree with you on that, but tell me this, Has there ever been a better time for drake to aim for that? Drake is always trying to promote himself as one of the goats. With all the attention on drake, isn't this the best time to make a classic? :jbhmm:
