The difference is: Meek was writing his rhymes, battling nikkas in Philly...and Drake was purchasing bars from Nickelus F, flying him up to Raptor's games, and trying to pay his way into rap.
Drake's male fanbase is made up of nikkas who weren't accepted until the social environment changed into something friendly for feminine men.
