Yep. They pretty much threw their day one customers under the bus the last couple of months. That Titanfall bundle running at $450 and then abandoning Kinect at E3 after all that hype was a bad look to me.

I can agree with this but the sheer amount of disrespect the xbox execs had against the core gaming community with those new drm rules was pretty much the end from the beginning. if you spit in the face of the early adopters good luck bringing them back because the casuals are more fickle then anything they're not gonna camp out all night online in Manhattan in the freezing cold and buy your system. Can you just imagine the backlash Apple would have got if they pulled the same shyt???

people weren't stupid enough to pay more money for less performance was the whole point. they basically slapped people in the face and then begged them to come back with the price drop. that was after the fact that they tried to force a bunch of dumb ideas on to people that they thought would be revolutionary. i don't think either of them have an impressive catalog of games right now so i'm not even going to get into that nonsense.

Add Tlou remastered, the dozens of indie games, ftp games, and ps now at the end of the month and ps4 has too many games.

Thats a flat out lie. sony's lineup isnt better. i never said the box's was way better at the moment. right now it is close to even. which was my point.

if games are close to even and everyone doesnt even own a 1080p tv. so miss me with the but but the ps4 is doing games at 1080 p. there's no logical reason to buy a ps4 over a xbox now that they are the same price. the reason would be because the ps4 is trending now. and if you want to make darn sure you have people/friends to play with online. you better get a ps4. it has zero to do with ps4 being the better system. at least not yet. in 2 years that might be the case. cause developers will have learned how to truly develop on both.

what would happen if microsoft cut their loses and put out a new xbox in 2 yrs. twice as powerful as the ps4, could that work? would people buy it?

Micorosoft's board already wants them to cut bait with the xbox division and either sell off or drop it.

There is a 0% chance the new president can push for a new console R&D cycle, a new launch (which will lose money until they get an install base for that xbox,) and taking a massive L on all the xbones they have sitting in warehouses across the world.

As it stands, just because they're not "beating" Sony, doesn't mean theyre losing money.

Now, will there be an xboxone2? No. Absolutely not.
