I'm not sure about the origin of the term trap, but Mr. Scarface's first album covered all the stuff that trap rappers talk about now, except he actually has talent.

I'm Houston born and raised, me and my friends have noticed Houston and Philly nikkas have similar mannerism even appearances.

Certain cities just have unexplained links, Memphis and Dallas nikkas share a lot of similarities. Probably more that I don't know about.
