A teachable moment for The Coli here: the success of any minority in America depends on the economic prosperity of their motherland and America's ties to that country. Basically there would be more incentive to make AAs more comfortable here if it meant African countries would send their youth here for higher studies, siphoning money from that country to this, having their homegrown millionaires and billionares invest $ buy assets here etc...

How can any Black person love a country that was built off of the dehumanization, enslavement, and colonization of their ancestors?

Because Africa is the single most rich continent in terms of natural resources, and every country on Earth needs to trade with Africa for survival. This means that the wealth of Africa has the potential to make us the most powerful people on the planet.

The fact that blacks are the poorest the world over is an absurd perversion of the fact that the land we come from is instrumental to the global system. We take back Africa from the white supremacists (and now Chinese) who colonize it, we take back our throne. Simple as that.

Africans and the diaspora are so diverse that most have nothing in common with each other. I dont known what a Nigerian can do about racism in the US or what a AA could do about corruption in Nigeria.

Why do you care what people choose to care about? Why does it bother you that black people care about where they come from? Does it stop you from living life? No one needs to explain to you why they care about anything.
