i always wondered why and how gucci mane gets a pass for snitchin on Jeezy every time he ever spoke publicly after that incident involving the shooting. he was flat out snitching, it wasn't dry snitchin either.

It did matter, it's well documented that Pac made it hot for Biggie, surveillance, cops raiding his crib etc Pac damn near co founded the New York City Hiphop cops but it didn't matter
That's not true. Biggie had snitches reporting to the police about his activity.
The hip hop police been around way before biggie and most rappers are watched because they are black and have influence.
How could Pac snitch on Big when Big wasn't the one who set him up or shot him? Also Pac took a gun charge for big and his crew over a gat. If he would have snitched that would have been the time to do it because he already had cases and he went down for it.
Cops investigated heavy d & puff but they only became a task force dedicated to gettin rappers when Pac/Big happened. Also released files revealed that the cops at the time did investigate Puffy & Big for the shooting, suspecting Puffy mainly. Pac made it hot for them after airing out street sh!t in the public, it's a documented fact but you think that a police departement reputed for targeting rappers just sat back and ignored accusations of conspiracy to murder, robbery and so forth.
Wether or not they actually had something to with it is irrelevant because they(Big specifically) suffered the consequences of Pacs publicity stunts, the gun charges that were gonna land him in prison was the least of his worries, dude got fvcking killed over this dumb sh!t but hey, doesn't matter Pac never snitched right? Didn't exactly keep Henchmens name out his mouth either.I think we can all agree at the very least Pac was an incredible entertainer who's persona got him in way over his head with real gangsters

I disagree completely. I think you are taking the police word for this and running with it. They didn't start this with Pac, Puff or Heavy D. Maybe some official group of cops calling themselves Hip Hop police but certainly the practices that hip hop police use weren't new. That was just the first time they went public and maybe they used the shooting to legitimize their activities by acting like it was warranted.
Do I think they ignored murder, robbery and so forth? No, I think they were apart of it. 2Pac was being watched since he was a kid. Puff was tied in to bmf who was being investigated, henchman been under investigation, Haitian jack been known to law enforcement and was possibly working with them. Trying to act like Pac brought about the heat while most of the parties involved were already on the cops radar is wrong.
I personally don't think you can snitch on someone who didn't commit a crime. Yes you can make it hot for them but not snitch. He named the person who shot him and set him up on Against all odds. 1 time and 1 time only (that I recall) did he snitch. The rest was just a crazy form of entertainment. To say he snitched on Biggie and Puffy is a acknowledgement of their guilt in regards to their role in the shooting.
