Alexander can connect with crowds and has some personality. Crews has the same problem as Cesaro. Great in the ring but no personality and iffy mic skills.

Cedric has clear star potential. He carries himself like he's gonna be a big deal. Cesaro has iffy mic skills but is great playing off other people. Crews hasn't shown a single single thing other than being good in the ring

Right... but don't tell anybody that, because surely it was the big evil empire that forced them to do gimmicks they were already doing... :mjlol:

He is :ohhh:

Honestly, I liked Percy. He got the crowd on his side really quick, and they threw him on tv after like a couple of months. He could've been something

Felt the same. He was pretty basic in the ring (understandably cause he hadn't been there long), but had enough flair on his moves to stand out. It was also kinda weird how he got more jacked and started neutering some of his stuff before his release.

I think it honestly depends on the person :yeshrug:

Ron Simmons (through all of his "gimmicks") never danced. Always booked like a badass (as Farooq Asad :scust: outfit, Farooq in the nation, Farooq the Acolytes, Farooq in APA) and never danced

Ahmed Johnson...never danced
MVP wasn't a "dancing" act (he danced in the ring with some of his moves but it wasn't seen as "shucking and jiving" to me...no different than Cena's 5 knuckle shuffle or Scotty too hotty "the worm")
The Rock was corny in his young/introduction years but wasn't "a dancer"
Mark Henry wasn't/isn't a dancing act
etc.

I do agree that a lot of black wrestlers dance, but we have to remember that this is a VERY cheesy form of live entertainment. I know we all want it to be so much more (we talk about prestige and booking like it's NOT pre-determined :mjlol:) but these athletes are actors and entertainers

Remember...

they booked a white dude as Lord Tensai
an Asian cowboy in Jimmy Wang Yang
a white guy as a jive talking black man imitation
they had a native American dancing and high stepping around the ring
Cryme Tyme :snoop:
They've had women demean and embarrass themselves
a CEO wear a du-rag and say "nygga" on camera
etc. etc. etc.

Outside of the athleticism and the ability to suspend disbelief for a few hours a week, don't expect the WWE or any wrestling organization to have a "moral" compass

Good points that you brought up.

Shelton Benjamin was seen as a serious, however he was too dry he couldn't cut a promo however his wrestling abilities are fantastic.

Of course he was gonna be seen as serious...he's a Divisional 1 amateur wrestler who picked up in ring performing about as fast as anyone we've ever seen. McMahon put him over HIMSELF the night before Taboo Tuesday 04..so they BELIEVED in him once before they turned on him and started jobbing him out once Cena hit Raw in June 05.
