real talk! there was a biding war for 50 back then. they acting like 50 was just at home with his grandma in the kitchen or some shyt. After he got shot he recovered and revolutionized the mixtape game that rappers are still using the blue print for. He probably wouldn't have been as big as he is now but for sure he would have a plat album under his belt.

Its the same reason why Nas ultimately decided not to sign to Murda Inc. Had Irv been Berry Gordy or someone he probably would have let that deal happen

I don't what you mean by this post. Musically 50 and gunit records is done. And X right now is done musically and mentally.

I like X I bought his first 5 albums at the store when cd's were like 15.00$ but he's finished breh.

Funny how all this talk is being made knowing that 50 was tryna sign X when 50 blew, but X declined. Both them have history together PARTLY due to Chad Elliott & cats like that.

50 opened up a few shows for X at the Ruff Ryders vs Cash Money tour. Plus they obviously already talked about meeting each other at the Onyx video shoot in '98.

X lives exactly how he raps, for better or worse. He had issues prior to even gettin hot in '98. But people are used to cats faking so mch that they get suprised when some of these dudes turned out to rap about how they are. Hes not the only one either of course.

X is in a class of his own. He's one of the very few rappers that I actually believe would do the shyt he raps about. His downward spiral is hard to see cause he's probably top 5 for me, but I'm not shocked at all

Thats what i figured too. Isnt that why 50 feels like Em is the saving grace for 50s career? I thought it was cuz he blew up under him and established himself. Not crediting Em to 50s success but im pretty sure 50 does

People dont seem to realize 50 was buzzing before he signed to Em and there was a bidding war as a result of that, but anyway.. neither 50 or DMX have anything to gain by doing that signing.. its like asking why the 76ers don't sign Steve Francis in 2014

Eminem stopped 50 from gettin blackballed. That's where the appreciation starts and ends.

Then Dre gave him the hits. Most of GRODT was recorded before the deal but labels didn't give him a good enough deal
