Why doesn't anyone talk about the high homicide mortality rates per capita in red states?

Black people predominantly live in Red states

Here are the 10 states with the highest percentage of black residents:

  1. Mississippi - 38.82%
  2. Louisiana - 33.33%
  3. Georgia - 32.06%
  4. Maryland - 30.96%
  5. South Carolina - 27.28%
  6. Alabama - 26.59%
  7. Delaware - 23.24%
  8. North Carolina - 22.53%
  9. Virginia - 20.56%
  10. Tennessee - 17.29%

Of the states listed above, 7/10 are Republican run, in VA, which I didn't count, they don't have the Senate by a tight margin but they have the house and Youngkin. Every state of note in the OP is a Republican run state.

So yeah, Republican's predominantly control the lives of black Americans, you can imagine how that goes. Anyone suggesting otherwise or trying to suggest it's really the Dems screwing over black people is not to be taken seriously. They have a clear lack of understanding with regards to legislation, I guess they expect blue mayors to fix everything, that's not how legislation works.

Same. It's a bunch of cherry picking on that list of cities. The truth is these people with these talking points don't really give a fukk about the murder rate because they are insulated from it.
It's black people that are the ones dying. They don't give a fukk about the murder rate beyond using it as a tool or talking point against the other team - all the while real people, mostly black, are out there dying.

Ehhh using stats against the “other team” that refuses to change the gun laws that could help drop these rates is caring about mostly Black people that are dying.

Not necessarily directed at you, but this is what I don’t get about both siders. It’s fair and accurate to say one side hasn’t done much of nothing specifically for Black people, but when it comes to general (the majority of) things they do and one side is far more likely to vote in a way that harms Black than the other side, how isn’t that a clear worse side? . :dwillhuh:

Dude already had his mind made up, note his original post was just tiptoeing until someone else stepped up to the mantle. Any threads bashing Republicans draw out those types.

In truth, simply knowing how our government functions makes you an outlier in America, so it's hard to really explain anything when don't even have the basics established. And now I should waste time explaining to them how states with lax gun laws influence states with strict gun laws? Good luck with that, big good luck trying to get that guy to recognize an argument, such as the one you put forth, which is based on a utilitarian approach. I tried that on two guys (both siders) here, they both refused to answer, you won't get a straight answer with that approach because it blatantly highlights their contradiction, they have to admit the Democrats are better than the Republicans for black people, they have to admit it would be better to vote for them over Republicans, and then they have to admit that their reluctance to participate is justified, none of which, these simpletons can come to terms with.

And don't let them know about primaries, and how a practical approach, will allow them to better shape the Democratic party as opposed to the Republican party, that will really make their heads spin.

Above the fray.

Agree here. Disproportionately the victims of these homicides look like, and are related to us, yet in every thread about this topic there are jokes and smilies.

(Supposedly Black) dudes can't even pretend to care about Black people dying. Politicians care even less, except as a talking point.

Red state, blue state, red city, blue city, the common denominator is Black male victims.
