...Doc's done the exact opposite. When Chris Paul got hurt under VDR it was that dumbass' idea to run the same exact system that limited Blake, only with Bledsoe at the helm. Doc on the other hand fully unleashed Blake and he was an MVP candidate last year. His decision to start getting further away from the basket was his own.

Last 2 seasons have been Griffins best basketball years so far, so I have no idea what you are talking about

Blake has improved his overall game and is at his best now but I kind of feel what the OP is saying. These players come like Blake come in dunking and dominating the paint until the fans and media say they need to get a jumper. Then when they get one they end up falling in love with it to much like Sheed and don't end up becoming the player they are supposed to be. But I think Blake has a perfect balance and right now he is in his prime and playing his best overall basketball since he's been in the NBA.

i like what they are doing letting him handle the ball more. hes got great handle and passing ability for his size. sometimes he dribbled too much and turned it over in the playoffs but he'll get better at decision making the more comfortable he gets with it.

I wasn't really convinced by Blake at some point but dude has worked on his face-up game and still is efficient in the post and there's no denying that. Like you said, I think he has the perfect balance right now. He's def playing his best bball now, if he manages better his energy and steps up his defense he needs to seriously be in the MVP discussion, even though I doubt he'll ever get it with CP3 on the team. Catch-22.
