Have you? You sound like an oblivious idiot talking outta ya ass, claiming one place is hard and another isn't based on your own assumptions and what you take away from hearing rap songs :mjlol:

It is well documented that Pusha T and Malice didn't grew up necessarily hard or in a bad environment..

And since when is 'being a real one' correlated with growing up in a struggle? What kind of delusional crab-in-barrel clown ass mentality and perspective is that ?

In his music, Drake never claimed to be hood or doing hood shyt growing up - and since he wasn't doing hood shyt - that would make him a quote-on-qoute real one...

Speaking of your experiences and what you know of = real...

Yes I have nikka...:what:....thats why Im making that fukking statement.....and dont start pulling strawman arguments out your ass breh....Drake controls the imagery he puts out. Hes the one that keeps pretending like his upbringing was impoverished and like wasnt well off and taken care of by his Jewsih family. Hes the one that gives off the impression his life is hard now because his mother and him would argue over where he should park his phantom when he lived in his "shabby" neighborhood 9 years ago....this is that mans reality....being real about struggling...its about authenticity...Drake is a fake ass rich nikka claiming to be a struggled youth from the mean streets of Toronto...yet his woes are rich white Jewish cats who never knew struggle....but he puts forth that lie because he wants to relate to fans he feels dont repsect well off nikkas talking about starting from the bottom....:beli:

Again have you ever been to Norfolk? There is no "middle class"....

:russ: When the fukk did Norfolk, the very definition of a middle class military town, become East St Louis or Gary Indiana or some shyt

I legit hate what Drake does to you muhfukkas...It has to border on some clinical disorder

Wow, everything you said was

Its impressive that you have subconsciously built up this certain image of an artist you dont like nor listen to, including having specific experiences and traits tied to that person, when you actually dont know shyt about him... Again, all you said was

Clearly if your first reaction is to jump to a ban bet with a new poster, you are feeling some type of way bruhette. You might want to look internally first and assess your Drake issues :mjcry:

You know how if someone says "I'm not racist but..." and they are clearly about to say some racist shyt. Its the same on the Coli with "I don't make Drake threads but...." :francis:

I got no problems with you, was just making an observation :wow:
Your perception isn't reality breh so I had to correct you .

That's like me saying some random shyt like I only see you quoting men you must be a fakkit .

Wild dumb observation that could be so far from any kind of truth .

I wanted to make a ban bet to prove how silly your accusation is .

It's easy to disprove breh don't just throw shyt out there and try to make me look a certain way when it's far from the truth .

Then try to hide behind some punk shyt like :whoa: it's only my observation .

Nahh let's keep it a buck and let me disprove your dumb notion .

Midwest/East Coast/Tx (Now in Canada)
I'm still waiting to hear what an actual Canadian rapper sounds like. I'm talking about how Wu-Tang made people visualize Staten Island, or how NWA made people visualize Compton. Dude sounds like he's from half a dozen places in America and other countries. I guess this is the part where Drake stans claim Canada is a melting pot, that's why his sound is so all-encompassing but that's :camby: when Canada is one of the least ethnically diverse places on the planet.

Fred.
Listen to Joey Durt "Carry on"...
Or any Scotian rapper. Money Marz.
Immigrants are always biters.

Also, the core of Drake's true fan base don't really give a fukk about being responsible. If anything his music is about irresponsibility and making lots of the same mistakes over and over again. It makes his fans feel good about fukking up because they can sing along to something catchy.

His music is a temporary escape. So many fans are vicariously living through him, and they just want to hear about HIS life and nothing else. I finally got that when I listened to ML. He's a corporate branded rapper not a thinker or revolutionary. He plays the politics of the rap game very well but that's where it ends.
Good post and another example where you don't have to agree with me to make a valid point .

This leads to my point about him using hip hop as a gateway to eventually become pop.

He uses the good parts of our culture without any social responsibilities .

Don't confuse Canada with Toronto homie

Toronto is probably the most multi-cultural place in the world

Drake hasn't captured the soul and essence of Toronto, its not his job because he doesn't have the pedigree to do so

Drake, along the spectrum of Canadian hip hop, is our first superstar. It'll take another rapper to come along and really represent the culture out here

Drake, PND and Tory Lanez have incorporated the Caribbean vibe into their music, but that was started long before

Older Canadian rappers like Maestro, Ghetto Concept, Choclair, Kardinal represented the Toronto underground rap scene and culture well, but their music wasn't the greatest. The new generation have come with the music but at a loss of some culture

Still waiting on that rapper that will merge it all together, and truthfully it wont be a black rapper. Itll have to be an immigrant that does it.

Umm Norfolk, Ptown, etc...are not JUST that...or mostly that.

Yeah, I've spent more than a lil time in the area...Not to turn an already stupid ass thread into one of those "whose city is the most crime ridden and down trodden" pissing contests...Let's just say your post "it's not JUST the very vision of quaint surburbia" is a world away from the one I actually responded to "there's NO middle class there"

Lest there be any confusion as to what part of the seven cities the Clipse were raised in, it's the solidly middle class part with nicely kept two stories homes with two car garage and inground pools in the back like the one they grew up in ...As seen at the :51 mark here

There's no debate and you just sound in your feelings. I guess that's fine since you are posing as a woman, which I can care less if it's true or not. But if you DO post in other threads, you don't say anything of substance or else I would have noticed you.

PERIOD.
There's nothing you can say or do to dissuade a point another person is making about THEIR own observations, regardless of if they are correct or inaccurate, as these aren't opinions which can be swayed :francis:

Maybe you typically make 1 post in a thread and keep it moving, or maybe.....which based on your OP here is probably more likely accurate..... you post 9 paragraph dissertations that nobody stops to read. Or maybe you just don't say shyt at all that's worth debating or noticing. Either way, Drake is on your mind way too deep. Get off his dikk :heh:

There's your buck...keep the change :umad:
