I have to imagine there are plenty of companies that would be willing to take that risk but you might be right that nobody wants to give an endorsement deal to him. He did have an AT&T sponsorship right after the De La Hoya and Hatton fights so there's definitely someone

and as the promoter there's plenty of people lining up to sponsor these fights

People dont like Mayweather, he plays it up and its a large reason his fights sell so well. He plays a villian so it'd be weird to see him smiling next to some product or acting as a spokesman, and probably hurt both the product's image and his own.

If he was knocking people out and giving people exciting fights it wouldn't be as much as an issue but he's not.

I dont think this is true at all. If he retires 49-0 you dont think there are brand managers that wouldnt want their logo on his shorts. The images of him retiring undefeated and them having their logo on his robe/gloves etc. A possible fight or two with Pacquiao seen by millions with their company on his shorts. He could do a boxing equipment line and market products. He is one of the most physically fit athletes there is and he could probably do workout videos like Shawn T, Taebo, P90x etc. and sell hundreds of thousands of copies.

With that being said, I have no idea whats stopping the endorsements.
