If White People are 70% of the listeners of Hip Hop, it stands to reason they should be feeling the biggest effects of the alleged negative effects like crime, misogyny, and ratchet behavior that listening to Hip Hop causes. How has the life of White People been impacted since they jumped on the Hip Hop bandwagon?

They don't get the negative impacts because they're largely aren't poor.

People effected the most negatively by music culture don't have the right guidance from a man within the home.

Whites have their own music to influence their lifestyles with.

If we are talking crime we are talking 1 percent of Black Americans because that's the percent of black people going to prison.

Cacs view us all as 1 percenters so the larger issue of resource allocation is ignored while we discuss the black crime.

White people had their own moral panic with metal music in the 70s-90s and again in the 90s with gaming.

Time and time again studies have shown that media doesn't make someone who otherwise was peaceful into a violent person. At best it encourages already violent action. Gang members don't spin the block listening to Enya or Lauryn Hill. They were already violent and they seek violent music as a soundtrack for their actions.

it does you just arent looking hard enough

if you listen to anything it will affect you if you let it. Even when you ignore some songs you'll remember some of em if they are catchy

questionable motives for this thread though :mjpls:

Yes. It's proximity too.

If middle class whites lived not far from bad neighborhoods and interacted with the kids in shyt they might be swayed

White people have their own little enclaves
Maybe poor Black communities get starved on purpose too to make them worse than poor white communities

Because there a lots of poor whites

No maybe, look at Jackson Mississippi

The Truth
Because it doesn’t have to

Technically, it shouldn’t even influence black people, it’s just usually all they show for us in the media

It does influence some white people though… especially if they view crime as an option in life. Look at Eminems fanbase for example. Mostly “hip hop heads” and white dudes

I know a lot of white dudes influenced by boom bap, old school and underground shyt.
