they have a population as massive as Chinaa potential huge talent pool to choose from. surely they have the money for world-class training facilities
they currently have 0 medals. mathematically that doesn't even make sense considering they have 1/5 of the world's population

I don't doubt this. It's been said India is one of the most racist countries, and I believe them.
Now this isn't referring to Indians that come here and become Americanized, whom I really don't have many problems with. The younger generation that grew up here and the older cats who adopted a more cultural-diverse outlook are cool in my book and some of the friendliest people I've met. They also end up being real cool with Black folks from my observation. For some reason all of them also end up being Lakers fans. If you end up meeting a cool Indian person, I'm betting they watch the Lakers routinely.
That said, back to my original statement, that country from what I've heard and read about is probably the worst place to be if you're Black. Reading stories, it sounds like they genuinely hate dark skin over there. When my girlfriend went to Disneyland, she was in the bathroom and an Indian lady was disciplining her child who was crying and told her she's acting like an "n....." After my girlfriend checked the shyt out of her, that lady's response was "you can't take life too seriously, it's just a word." The ignorance sounds like it just runs real deep over there.

“Finally one of the 119 competitors that India sent to Rio has won a medal – a bronze – now see how they portray it as if they won 20 golds,” he tweeted and from then on, Twitter became a battleground for many Indians and Pakistanis with a barrage of tweets from both sides. But Quraishi did not budge, he replied to many of them in the same condescending tone and continued to belittle India’s performance at Rio Olympics. “For a population of over 1.25 billion India managed just one bronze medal – Norway with 5 million managed 2 — tch tch tch,” he tweeted again.
Jim ThorpeI've never seen an athletic Indian in my life.![]()
