I'd agree that Mase is top 20 but it's his fault for not expanding his catalog during his peak years. He left way too early and by the time he came back the game passed him. Had he stayed, put out some quality projects, we'd be here seeing him in a different light.

He ain't got the body of work. He's never been on the level of someone like Jadakiss, who is more of a Top 20 of all-time MC. People like Wayne, Common, Black Thought, G Rap, Snoop, MF DOOM, Prodigy, Treach, Mos Def, Big Pun, Andre 3000, etc., who may not always make most Top 10 lists, are easily Top 20-level rappers. Mase has never been as dope as people on that level. Dude basically had a 18-month run.

yall gotta stop...I keep telling yall. No one pushes irrelevant rappers like New Yorkers. There are a ton of rappers who are bigger in NY than anywhere else and because you're in NY, you can trick yourself into thinking these guys are relevant elsewhere...
Mase is one if those guys and I'm a 35-year old man who was a Mase STAN when I was 14-15 years old...
