I'll admit I used to hate chopped and screwed music as a pup but I've grown to love and appreciate it. In fact I listen to more C&S albums/songs than the originals nowadays.

Thats the thing...nobody really liked it initially but then it hits you like a ton of bricks and all of a sudden you are hooked. I'm from Houston and I hated screwed music when it first came out.

Slim K the only nikka still holdin down the screw scene really

Virtual DJ fukked the game up hard all this slopped up shyt on youtube now

I agree. If it ain't Michael Watts or Screw...it ain't shyt. Most DJs...if not almost all don't know how to chop and screw properly. Hell, I've been Djing for 15 years I can't even figure it out. That's what makes it so great.

I tried to figure it out, people say it's all about cutting at the snare on the record and mixing. But for real I dont think people even recognize how revolutionary that was. Basically remixing songs on the fly and adding some turntablism elements to it like backspins and stuff like that. That's hip-hop as fukk and no one can say it ain't!

Only DJs that have perfected the mixing, blending, and chopping are Screw and Watts from 1999-2004. Other than those two, nah...if you want some chopped songs that are not blended or mixed, then Beltway 8 and DJ D are the best...

I have every Screw Diary and alll his other mixes so I am in favor of a permanent Screw thread
