in terms of how functional it is for engineers is another story

thats why most engineers still use english units for many systems. Things like distance, area, volume work out better but thats really it.

why are you confused? read what i said again carefully. Furthermore

area and volume are just distance squared and cubed respectively. Once again those seem significant but whats actually significant is weight (which is measurable) vs mass (which is not measurable in the same way weight is).

If you scroll up youll see where I mentioned the english gravitational constant which should make it clear why its preferable (1 lbm = 1 lbf, whereas kg to N is not the same 1/1 relationship)

I prefer the American date format. Month gives you more information right away than just the Day of the month. As a programmer, though, I prefer Year, Month, Day (2 digit Month and Day, preferably)
