Becaues there's not enough meat to be had and they stink when you cook them. My naija stepdad would make snails growing up tried them but the stench and the consistency turned me off.

GTFOH! Nukkas in NYC love Jerk and Curry and all that good stuff. What you talking bout pimping?my mans aint even know what curry chicken was. took him to one of my family cook outs all he ate was hot dogs and burgers. Typical AA's, New yorkers are even worse. have some of the best food in the world in 1 place and only eat hot dogs, burgers, fries, and pizza. fukking pathetic palate that some people poses.

Yee they be on that low country boil tooSouthern GA, South Carolina, etc.
I dont think Florida is considered low country but they eat Conch too.
Americans arent too adventurous with their stomachs. Just like most people in world to some degreelike I lived in America for 24 years before i ever dared to taste "meat loaf". But american gastronomy tend to be on the safe side with eveything they dont know. But they abuse the fukk out of the things they are used to because they are safe to them.
Things that always baffled me that the common american doesnt eat
Hell it's only in the last 20-25 years that they started eating avocados.
- Conch
- Goat meat
- Yams
- Malangas
Their plantains craze is still in it's infancy and they only like the sweet shyts anyway
BUt i must give them props for the way they perfected potatoes, tho. Growing up i rarely ate popatoes and when it did it was either boiled or fried potatoe slices. American cook potatoes in so many different ways it always amazes me. French fries, Potatoe salad, Mashed potatoes, boiled and seasoned potatoes, hash browns and the list goes on and on. To someone who grew up in America there is nothing amazing about this but to me it's like![]()

Naw we eat yams too. Most people eat em candied at least here in the south
We eat goat and plantains too but its a niche meal. I personally eat conch too.

Here's a quick video on the yams thing. Dont know her credentials but she's from the U.S. and she recognizes that americans totally misnamed "yams" and seems fairly knowledgeable. I like how she goes into the details with it
Naw I mean yams
Like candied yams, sliced or chunk
Sweet potato a whole different meal to me

I ain’t versed with the names history mane
