Black people didn't give a fukk about kimbo, those that did however wanted him to join the boxing scene as it made more sense. White people were hyping him up because they wanted a big strong black guy heavyweight which the mma scene is lacking. Kimbo slice is the American bob sapp. Only popular because he fits a trope, the big savage gorilla black guy trope. shyt is a fantasy to racist people. They tried that shyt with jon jones, thats the only reason they want him to be a heavyweight. Roy jones jr fell for it and it fukked his whole career up.

sayin tho...Kimbo videos had nikkas hype because he was in the hood wrecking shop..of course white folk who saw him as that stereotype you mentioned were the ones who brought him to everyone's attention...but i can say some black folk(myself included) fukked with Kimbo up front because he looked like he was unbeatable in any situation.
