Why would nikkaz sign for cheap to get traded? OKC had loads of talent compared to now. They still got nikkaz but not like before, had they let all those eggs truly hatch they'd be the undisputed rulers of the West. Meh, fukk em anyway.
Great points on all accounts except for the fact that when you're competing for a championship it isn't the time to develop rookies and second year players. Now is the time to take advantage while the Lakers are down and the Spurs are getting old. That would require interest on OKC's end though.
Why sign Collison when you're developing Reggie Jackson?
Why bother kicking the tires on Greg Oden when you just used a lotto pick on Steven Adams?
Why be interested in Nick Young when you hope Jeremy Lamb makes the next step?
Altogether those 3 guys make $5.4 mil next year and 2 of the 3 are on long term rookie deals. They have a different approach.
They have 3 good players, that's not going to get them to the Finals. Why would nikkaz sign for cheap to get traded? OKC had loads of talent compared to now. Now is the time to pounce if you're OKC and you need veteran rotation guys to do it. Steven Adams ain't the answer to push Perk. Lamb ain't ready for real minutes, they didn't do shyt this offseason and I don't know if it was due to lack of effort or interest from free agents but they won't sniff a ring until they do some real signing or trading.
Hey you ignorant fukk, this thread derived from a debate me and Tremont was having in the PG thread hence him apologizing in the second post.I'm sayin, if that was the point you was tryna make you coulda just said that instead of making this retarded ass thread. Plus Durant/Westbrook is still a strong force, Presti did way too much tho. The Perk move ain't make them better and Jeff Green finally hittin his stride. If Jeremy Lamb don't work out he's gonna look like a dikkhead for trading Harden essentially for the right to see if Lamb is gonna be fo real or not.
I didn't say they were in win or else territory, but what I am saying is that the Lakers won't be down for long and Houston is only getting better as are we and the Clippers. Now was the time to strike when their was uncertainty of who was going to come out of the West. The window is more open now that it has or ever will be for them, they should've brung in some guys to get them over the hump.Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook are on long term deals and just turned 25. They're already competing for titles. They're not in "win or else" territory yet.
Now, like Pritchard, Presti's downfall may be that the world done gassed his head up so much that he thinks he can develop anyone, but that's a team that's filled with youngins except for Fisher. If they lose, it wasn't because they didn't push for players that may not outproduce the youth they have. They run a short ass rotation as is.
