It all goes back to Jim Crow. Black people(east of the Mississippi) have had a longer history of propaganda against them and have lived next to whites the longest. Blacks have a longer history of being seen as the menacing "other". Although this is changing quickly with trump and other conservatives zeroing in on Hispanic migration. MS13 has been hyped up as one of the most violent gangs since I was a kid..

Also gangster rap. Let's be real, the various genres of music from Latin America don't have "menacing" or "scary" attached to them the same way gangster rap does. Salsa, merengue, mariachi doesn't have the same connotation as trap music does. And trap/gangsta has been the most commercially successful form of black music for the last 30yrs.
They’ve been on Black People heads since ragtime. Doesn’t matter.

they until the last 25-30 years or so were a smaller percentage of the general population than Blacks and weren't very present in many sub regions of the country and were more evenly split between White and non White ones, in other words they flew under the radar more.

Because white and Asian (lets be realistic that's what most of them are :usure:)people are seen as the least threatening.

Y'all only shocked and confused because y'all thought Hispanic is a race and that Latin American is somehow different than American history when it comes to race/slavery /Jim Crow.

This isn't news or shocking.

Y'all gonna keep making these confused threads because y'all refuse to educate yourself.

Sure, it's easy enough to be intellectually dishonest and blame the last 30+ years of violent music and imagery for all our woes.

Still doesn't account for the 4 centuries of negative opinions toward black people preceding it, does it?
