Most fights are done in front of, and oftentimes for, an audience

Cheap shots are not only frowned upon by an audience but can even lead to them interfering with the fight

But on the other hand, with an audience you usually expect not to be stomped to death after losing a fight

Fight someone without an audience to either stop them from cheap shots or protect them if they get KO'd and I expect you'll see a lot more cheap shots
