Most people are aspiring for an average life, most educations lead to average jobs. Average being something like a teacher, IT-dude, nurse, a normal journalist, most types of lawyers, police, engineers or whatever. If that wasn't the case everyone would be trying to start businesses. Though no one wants to hear about that shyt in a rap song. Still there is a lot of average shyt these rappers rap about, mostly it's love/family/friendship related.please tell me what is wrong with that answer in regards to the question asked?

Funny you made this thread because yesterday I was just thinking about how Common's debut album was titled Can I Borrow A Dollar? and how that would never happen on a major label release today.. Even if that was the artists reality they would be too insecure to present themselves that way..
They are entertaining? A lot of them are extremely talented at one particular thing that is entertaining? Some of them are just very interesting to a lot of people for unknown reasons like Kim Kardashian. But most times it's the first reasons.

If you're talking about an unknown rapper putting vids up on Youtube and free albums through .org websites, then yeah
But if you're talking about relatively known rappers, even someone who floats around in the underground but grinds with touring, I doubt dentists make TRIPLE what they earn.
It all depends on how good you are, the experience, and competence anyways. There's more dentists then there are professional rappers, so I wouldn't compare a secure job like that to a musical act working off scraps
