Why don't most black people attend concerts?

concerts are the main way that black people support rappers.

yall are just going to the wrong shows.

only concerts i attend where the audience is predominately white, are the '90s legacy acts that can still do their own tours without sharing the bill with a bunch of other big names. but these are still acts that drew mostly black crowds in their heyday.

yall just checkin for the wrong rappers if youre fishing for a black crowd.

ive been saying this for years, btw. some of yall should subscribe to me.

this is also why i laugh when the media & people on here try to crown dudes like Kendrick & drake as kings, while they perform to a sea of white fans. nothing wrong with white fans. but just saying, those crowds would be a lot blacker if they are what they claim they are.

Or hating....but then again it was a hypebeast Q concert.

Future, Yo Gotti, Meek Mill...etc bring black people out.
tbh as much as I like those artists you wouldn't catch me at any of their concerts because of the fukker their fans bring but in the last 2 weeks I went to see dsvn, terrace martin and bilal

Because black people don't have disposable income like that
That's part of it, but another part of it is a lot of rappers are so damn lazy on stage. How many have their crew rap the lyrics then want you to rap the lyrics, then it's a bunch of inaudible bullshyt that winds up giving you a headache. R&B concerts are much different and usually have a strong black attendance rate because it's a more relaxed vibe. Speaking for myself i don't want to go to rap concerts because there's going to be a large white presence shouting "nikka" along with the song.

I stopped going a while ago because I was tired of all the fighting and shooting going on. It was a part of life back in my teens and 20s, but I couldn't deal with that shyt no more. And, I really didn't feel like paying trumped up prices just to go subpar concerts anymore.

Wrong

Rap concerts are equivalent to parties, you not even focused on the performer cause you're having so much fun dancing and rapping to live music

In general we dont. Even the material things us as black people buy isn't really disposable income, it's usually us taking away from one thing to pay for another. Obviously this isn't for all but a lot.

youre talking about the bum ass niccas that's just plain broke.

Not entirely true. It's just that ones with it aren't wasting it on music/concerts but more like materialistic things.

concerts, particularly rap shows are the epitome of materialism. especially if theyre held in clubs where you can party, buy drinks and all that riff raff.

and while there, you show off all your other materialistic chit.

I don't know where everybody is from on here but 90% of the shows I attend in any city are majority black. in a lot of cases, darn near 100% black. only ones that aren't are '90s legacy acts.

people just go to shows for corny rappers, and are somehow surprised at the turnout.
