Long answer- players dont care about winning titles like they did in the 70s and 80s. Its about getting to the league and getting paid. Thats it. Championships rings are a bonus to 90% of the players in the league.

the problem is that we do not have B divisions. In other words, if a team does bad then they get demoted to a smaller league. The players have nothing to lose for. If they do bad this season then they know they still have a spot in the same league next season. They need something more to play for instead of a championship game. You know what I mean??

Never thought of it that way

But it's true that players SHOW less emotion now (emphasis on SHOW) because

A. They can get a T for showing too much emotion ( Stern)

B. The wolves are on twitter and all the blogs ready to call them "soft" "bytches" who need to "man up". So they walk around like they're above it all and that nothing fazes them

C. "It's a business", so they treat like that: win some, lose some, and in the end you're still paid anyway.
