Mos Def’s ideals about a world without borders have been dashed by South African immigration officials. The Department of Home Affairs declared the rapper and actor an “undesirable person” on Nov. 22 after he tried to leave the country using a world passport, an idealistic travel document issued by a pacifist organization promoting a world without borders.

For his part, a representative for Bey told Foreign Policy that he chose to use the passport because “it’s more representative of his personal ideals and philosophies…of the world as being a unified place a place without borders or boundaries.” The rapper has been living in South Africa on and off since 2013 and was also accused of allowing his family to stay even after their visas expired.

Talib loves to call ADOS all sorts of shyt for not giving a fukk about mexicans and immigration.

How does he feel about this?

So the South African Gov did not recognize his Mos Def "do it yourself" World passport or whatever the fukk that shyt is. And they got his ass out of there.

He also allegedly had family members visas expire but instead of leaving they decided to break the law and stay.

So taLib I have one question for you...

Is South Africa Xenophobic for having immigration laws and enforcing them on your delusional friend?

Are we just going to call any country with immigration laws xenophobic?

I know about his beef with YC and the origin of it, as outlined by social media timeline between them.

I see his beef with her, as a reaction to the way he was blindsided by her and others.

If he was publicly talking nonsense about "the borders should open", then this Mos Def story is going to be hard for him to discuss. I don't follow him other than when his comments/videos are posted here...but I don't think HE was saying some of the extreme nonsense that others were saying about illegal immigration story.
