Anytime you see someone walk up in a work place or something and start shooting, we got everybody shouting from the rooftops that we need gun control ASAP.

When a famous nikka get shot and killed, nobody wants to ban guns, but they all want to talk more about gang life, inner city trouble, etc.

You didn't hear a peep from anyone talmbout gun control when XXX died.. you don't hear anyone calling for it now when Nip gets killed.

That's a good point. But I think it's dangerous to paint out the inner city like its this straight up cesspool of violence when Democrats are going to then turn around and depend on them for votes.

Agreed. Beyond it being irresponsible and self sabotaging for Democrats to do that, it also plays into conservative talking points in another manner. Think about it, how many homicides related to gang warfare involve weapons that were obtained by the assailants legally? I'd venture to say not many. California is a prime example of a State with tough gun laws that still aren't mitigating bloodshed related to firearms. That said I tend to agree with conservatives on new gun laws being unnecessary. It would simply be posturing and showmanship to bring up potential gun legislation under these circumstances.
