What effect would the immediate disintegration of the moon have on Earth's orbit around the Sun? (Let's suspend reality and assume that he moon completely disappears)
I assume that we'd drift slightly away from the sun, as the combined earth/moon mass would decrease thus decreasing our collective gravitational attraction to the sun.
What effect would this slight drift away from the sun have on Earths climate?
