Because buying music today is just stupid. Most artists release like a 15 track cd with only 2-3 songs you'll keep. Bought Flying Lotus Until The Quiet Comes and both Kendricks albums after I listened to them of course.

well it is mixed for me i but albums because the quality is better then mp3 rip but at the same time im not gonna but a cd that is wack i download it first and if it is good i buy it.

It's a money thing, but it's also too easy to get in other ways. If there was a way to download Jordans that leaked three days before the release, people would stop buying Jordans too.

I buy an album if I feel like I want to add it to my collection. Most albums I like to listen to for a little bit but not ones I want to listen to 10 years from now. I actually wish there were more mixtapes on vinyl that I could store better.

Not even saying my whole collection is just classic albums, some of it is albums only I may like.

Because they're freely and conveniently available for download at no cost to me...i have ZERO incentive to buy albums...mp3s are my preferred method of listening to music and have been for quite some time, so physical discs are nothing but clutter...i wouldn't even go to the store and get a copy of somebody's album on CD if they were giving it away for free...and as far as digital media goes, I'll NEVER pay for it unless I have no convenient way of obtaining it for free...buying music nowadays is almost purely a sentimental act for me...and I don't give enough of a fukk about the idea of my $12.99 getting broke down so that the artists and producers get how many fractions of a penny they get from my money as a reward to go through with the whole charade of the whole thing...
