got one in the house. That's enough for me. Back in the day everybody's old man at least had an old shottie in the back of the closet. More for stray dogs and rodents than trespassers back then. Since people starting spaying and neutering their pets in the 80s and were required to keep them on leases outside that really hasn't been as big an issue though. My dad told me you used to never see deer, racc00ns or pigeons etc.(at least in my hometown neighborhood) Because stray dogs were always wandering around.
