It's own by Disney so it's never. They like owning the sporting world.

I think we will have more people watching espn once Disney released their steaming service.

I honestly don't know what it is but I never watch ESPN unless a game I want to watch is on. I used to watch Monday night countdown , Sunday game day and sportcenter. Too many other options I guess. Once Monday night primetime left that was the nail in the coffin.

All he had to say was the internet.

Really doesn't tell the whole story

Three reasons why I think they are dying

1. Sports reporters/analysts aren't that likeable
2. They have become too complex and stopped becoming a "Sports reporting Network". Similar to MTV when they started to only show 10% of their shows related to music
3. Expensive subscriptions

Fox Sports would soon overtake ESPN as the dominant sports channel

Disney bought all of Fox's Regional Sports Networks i.e. Fox Sports South. Those are the channels that usually broadcast your local teams games. They didn't buy FS1 because they didn't need it.
