Did y’all actually watch the video...

Bro basically said

ESPN was once the go to spot for box scores & highlights—- that’s no longer needed with the internet..

Sports opinion type shows are also accessible online / message boards etc...

ALSO THE MAIN REASON HE SAID THEY WILL DIE IS THEIR BUSINESS MODEL

ESPN is one of the most expensive channels people pay for

2011- $4.69 with 100 mill subscribers

2017. $7.40 (not exact) with 80 mill subscribers

They can’t just keep raising the price each time subscribers fall off

BUT most of their subscription money goes towards the rights to air NBA/NFL/MLB games

So yeah.. they’re basically dead now

You got a link to this...doesn't even sound legal to pass FCC
Where you been? FCC won't allow them to buy the FOX network because one company cannot own more that one broadcast network (NBC, ABC, CBS, FOX). Cable doesn't count but just in case Disney left alone FS1 and the Big 10 network but took everything else.

Disney-Fox deal gives ESPN a local strategy to combat its financial woes

But buried within the release is the announcement that Disney will be acquiring Fox Sports Regional Networks, a collection of cable channels that are broadcast to local subscribers across the country. (Fox Sports, the FS1 and FS2 networks and the Big Ten Network will remain with Fox.) Assuming the deal passes federal antitrust muster, this portion of the pact could have a seismic impact on Disney-owned ESPN, rearranging a business model that until recently was thought to be the cause of the network’s well-documented financial problems.

For starters, ESPN will be acquiring a massive amount of new content, as Fox Sports’ 22 regional sports networks (RSNs from here on out) control the local cable rights to the following professional teams:

NBA (17): Suns, Hornets, Pistons, Magic, Pacers, Pelicans, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Thunder, Hawks, Grizzlies, Mavericks, Spurs, Heat, Clippers, Bucks, Nets.

MLB (15): Diamondbacks, Tigers, Rays, Royals, Cardinals, Twins, Reds, Padres, Braves, Rangers, Marlins, Angels, Brewers, Indians, Yankees.

NHL (12): Coyotes, Hurricanes, Red Wings, Panthers, Blues, Wild, Blue Jackets, Predators, Stars, Lightning, Kings, Ducks.

Still just watching their NBA games, no preshows, no postshows. I've been PTI free for the last 3 months (after watching almost every episode since launch)

Sportscasters got lazy. If you listen to NFL Radio on XM you can actually LEARN something about pro football, schemes, defenses, etc. Most of the sports shows are either chatty patty shyt or guys just regurgitating memes that might not have shyt to do with how players or teams are curently performing. I like the social commentary from guys like Shannon Sharpe, but fukk if I'm going to listen to that from 90% of the ESPN lineup.

The Passage of Time
I swear you nikkas are insane. Don't watch ESPN, but watch other platforms that flat out copy ESPN. ESPN Drives the story and all other sports shows follow.
