after 8k, it will be 12k. then it will be 16k. then it will be 20k. but none of this matter because most of these dudes would be playing video game consoles on them in 1080 p

I'll wait for the PS5. Nothing impressive on the OneX to justify spending the additional money for a new 4K set.

It's not even close to describing 4K. You can buy a 4K TV now, PCs can play games in 4K at 50+FPS on a 1080ti and 30FPS on a 1070, some game consoles play games in native 4K, you can stream in 4K, you can buy physical 4K media.

4K is like you just have an infant child. 8K is like talking about what your infant child's grandchild will be like. There's basically nothing on the consumer market that really supports 8K and it's such a high resolution that why bother anyway? People sit too close to their too small TVs to see the gain of it. I don't doubt the industry will eventually move in that direction but it's going to be an almost worthless upgrade for most.
This isn't really true.
This is entirely dependent on the games settings. I can play Destiny 2 at 4K 60fps on a 1070 on medium settings. Medium/high settings aren't that different visually in this game. Other games same thing. A lot of these benchmarks you see online only target max settings which in reality are often taxing with little visual differentiation. I play them at 1440p/144fps instead though since the high refresh rate is way more noticeable to me.

you a smart guy.
they should go all the way and start selling 16k ASAP.
forget about this 4k or 8k BS
they just want money from consumers.

Why would they got straight to 16k and skip out on upgrade buyers going from 4k to 8k, etc????

i'll upgrade when all games are at least 1080p/60fps....until then, fukk that.....higher resolutions dont get me excited, but i know i'm in the minority with that, hence the reason devs/companies always talk about the next higher resolution...they know gamers fall for that shyt every time....
