I dont understand it, they will have scholarship reductions for like another 3 years and wont be able to play in the post season for another 2. I think I would rather stay at vanderbilt and wait out something better

The NCAA removed some of the scholarship restrictions. Penn State will have like 75 scholarships next year and be back to normal in two years. They are still banned from bowl games for another two years but a lot of people think that will be reduced later this year.
The fact is that Penn State is a top 10 job. I really believe it is a sleeping giant and Franklin will make them elite again.

You guys really think Franklin can take that Penn State team and win 8-9 games? He is going to have his work cut out for him.think He is going to use this job as a steppin stone until he reach a bowl or gets a bowl win and will probably bounce to the NFL.Whats their recruiting looking like?

all you need in college football to win 8-9 games is a great qb and he has in hackenburg

I dont think PSU is even Top 25 in recruiting this year.I think PSU will be ok,but he isnt going to PSU to build national championship contender. This to me seems like a job nobody wanted.PSU interviewed quite a bit of candidates and for Franklin to leave although he was born in PA must have got a heck of an offer.Hey a black coach getting hired,I will root for him
