Goldberg will always be a legend in wrestling, if you were alive during his streak and the nWo era its just know.
That is why he has a pretty successful post wrestling life with the car shows and etc.

The main reason is he wrestled less than 5 years total in his career. A little over 3 years in WCW, 1 year in WWE, and 4 matches in AJPW in between. He won the top titles in both WCW and WWE, then retired, yet is still known as one of the most dominant and awesome dudes around despite being retired for 12 years.

Who was his tag partner? Man, I don't even remember him ever tagging with anyone, I probably tuned WCW out by then.
You really had to be watching in 1998 to understand Goldberg in all seriousness to get why "accolades" don't matter when discussing him.

Came here to post this. He spend relatively little time in the industry but he managed to accomplish a lot during that time.

It is very weird that he never got another title reign, but in a way, I think it makes him seem more important. Double J had 4 in one year, and all of those combined ain't shyt on Goldberg's, even though Goldberg had all of TWO successful PPV defenses of his title in his singular reign. Goldberg literally had no angle or feud his entire reign until 3 weeks before Nash beat him. It was a terrible reign, tbh, but since he beat Hogan and was fukking Goldberg, it still seems like a big deal.

Dk what OP classifies as an accolade, but in WCW, there really was only one prize that mattered - the world title & thats before the strap changed hands every hour on the hour in 99-01.
