the benefits of being ambidextrous are not worth it, at all. a good mobile right-handed qb can roll out to his left and set his feet and make a solid throw.

You have to develop your nervous system to recruit the muscles in the correct pattern to throw with the other hand. Basically starting from scratch all over again
I agree with the jist of this. I think it's a inefficient use of time. This isn't soccer. There's no reason to use your weaker arm.

and even in soccer, a player who has a great right leg is way more valuable than an abindexterous dude whos just ok. put the great right leg on the right wing and profit.

It's kinda pointless. On a straight drop back your body is turned. Unless you do a straight back pedal instead of side straddle, then it could be useful cause you don't have a true lead foot
