Right. People don't talk about how much he meant to his teams offensively also. He didn't look to score but the other things he did on the offensive end of the court was big.

They are young, and don't realize that Rodman could score but didn't give AF. He had a soft touch around the basket, great hands, good passer, finish left & right, could handle the ball enough.

But I think people want to prop up whoever to create whatever narrative they want. Pippen, people get hung up in his name, but he was hardly the second best player on the court. He has what, 4 seasons of 20ppg, would regularly shoot around 40% in the playoffs..at least for the second run. Horace Grant doesn't get enough props, but no one was scare of BJ Armstrong.

But overall, Jordan was playing with a true Robin in Pippen and players that filled their roles, just like most of the other teams. Seattle & Phoenix matched up well against them. Blazers did too.

Good points but we are under selling pip. Dude was a super unselfish player and really didn't care about scoring. He was the ultimate swish army knife fill in player. That is why he fit so well with the blazers and why even in 1994 and 1995 had 2 seasons of some of the best all around play the league had seen (many of his all around stats have been pushed to the back due to lebron). From 93 to 98 dude was considered the second best all around wing player in the league (with jordan being the best).

As far as armstrong he was one of the best open shooters in the league. Normally if he was open he was draining the shot. That is one of the reasons once paxaon has knee problems in the 92 - 93 season. BJ was able to step in with out the bulls missing a beat.

shyt watch game 5 vs the knicks in 93. Cartwright and BJ were the x factors in that game.
