Why has Jordan's supporting casts gotten so overrated?

Stop trying to talk about what you were not around for.

We can play cause I know you never saw this shyt in real time at all.

If so, what station did the bulls come on and the channel.

Good points but we are under selling pip. Dude was a super unselfish player and really didn't care about scoring. He was the ultimate swish army knife fill in player. That is why he fit so well with the blazers and why even in 1994 and 1995 had 2 seasons of some of the best all around play the league had seen (many of his all around stats have been pushed to the back due to lebron). From 93 to 98 dude was considered the second best all around wing player in the league (with jordan being the best).

As far as armstrong he was one of the best open shooters in the league. Normally if he was open he was draining the shot. That is one of the reasons once paxaon has knee problems in the 92 - 93 season. BJ was able to step in with out the bulls missing a beat.

shyt watch game 5 vs the knicks in 93. Cartwright and BJ were the x factors in that game.

I'm a Knicks fan so I remember their wars vividly. BJ was what every role player/starter was, someone that could knock down the open shot. But he was in the bottom tier of starting PGs. And all of the Bulls C's could consistently knock down the 10-15'.

Pippen was the ultimate do-it-all player, and that's what made him a great Robin. He wasn't on the tier of the others and was never looked as a lethal scorer. His niche was an elite on-the-ball defender that could help with the offense. He was much closer to KJ than he was to Chuck. On their second run he wasn't as effective, and he was stinking it up during the playoffs. He gets elevated because of name recognition for running with Jordan, but how often was he the second best player on the court?

Won 55 games without him playing a single second.

This says it all.

They couldn't have been that bad if they won 55 games without him.

If they were as bad as people make them out to be, they would have missed the playoffs the year after MJ left. They wouldn't have been a phantom foul call by Hue Hollins away from (in all likelihood) returning to the finals.

they weren't bad at all, but 55 games is misleading. The bulls added pieces after 93 to key the 2nd 3peat run (Kukoc, Kerr, Longley,) and they also played above their heads and phil coached his ass off. If you put jordan on the 94 bulls they probably win 70+ games honestly. that isn't to take anything away from the team, but everyone knew they were not going to win a ship without MJ.

If you were to take jordan off the 93 bulls roster with no changes they probably win 45 games in 94.

this would've been the rotation
