Why Has The Mass Effect Series Been Forgotten?

I mean we know little to nothing about ME:A so there is not much to get hype about.

People didn't forget it. Unfortunately for Bioware, the legacy of the ME3 ending is still there.

Hasn't really been forgotten but regardless of how you feel about "ME3" it made them change their approach to the next game. There's no way in hell they would've waited 5+ years between games if 3 was well received across the board. Couple that with the fact that games like "The Witcher 3" upped the ante for open world RPGs and you can see why "Mass Effect" would take a back seat in a lot of people's minds.

This. You can't gauge the interest or success of anything based on the attention it gets on the arcadium. Expand your network.
Mass Effect Andromeda is still highly anticipated elsewhere and the original trilogy is still highly request for backwards compatibility.
There's definitely interest in the series.

Its not forgotten, its just all the other big series have either had releases or remasters. Andromeda is going to be amazing.

the most immersive RPGs out there, excellent art design, amazing lore, good combat (from mass effect 2 on), etc.

why has mass effect been forgotten? its probably the best new IP to come out of last generation. are people still pissed about the ending?

It was OK. I found it overrated and it didn't feel like a RPG, just had RPG elements.
