Why hasn't any team given Patrick Ewing a shot as a head coach?

And one other factor :birdman:

Blacksports online or whitesportsoffline?

I read it in the latter...

I think what separates the Luke Walton/Brian Scalabrini types(besides color) is they were literally assistant coaches as players...

So they are already ahead of the learning curve..

Im sure both will get jobs if they wanted to before Patrick

His claim to fame as an assistant was working with Dwight Howard on his post moves in Orlando:francis:
Along with probably being a horrible interview, I've always thought this was one of the biggest factors because Dwight still ending up going to Dream while Pat was on the coaching staff. Pat is probably the greatest jump shooting center ever and Dwight still running down to Houston to Pat's biggest rival at the center position :francis:

Retired MJ gets a lot of flack around here but he has always looked out for his boys. I always :salute:MJ for keeping Pat employed...

Dwight seemed much better with Ewing tho. Most of Ewing's bigs have improved with him. With that said, Ewing is still improving as a coach from what I hear and is getting better. Everyone ain't Phil Jackson off the top.

idk if i'd call it clamor

he's an all-time great player and he's been an assistant for a longass time

if randy wittman can coach a team, patrick ewing probably deserves a shot :manny:

also :pacspit: @Da King
Wittman awful but what does Ewing being a great player have to do with him being a coach.

I dont care, tbh. I just dont understand why this is a topic, and not for other assistant coaches.

He's a mediocre at best assistant coach and he can't speak very well.

Honestly, I'm surprised he's still on our pay roll.

How do you figure he's a mediocre at best assistant coach?

Dwight went to Dream is now coached by McHale and he's still Dwight.

Dwight is not an indictment on Ewing. That's absurd
