The dualshock doesn't need a pro controller.

Unlike the xbox controller, the dpad isnt shyt so it works for whatever you need it for.

Theres a reason most pro players either use a stock dualshock 4, a fighting stick, or kb/m.

What's the point of designing a controller, if you plan on perfecting it after the fact? Why not just perfect it and roll it out as the standard controller?

This to me is the hardware equivalent to someone asking why a complete game doesn't have dlc/ patches

Never liked the DS3/DS4 controllers. I hate how L2/R2 just hangs off and I’m now realized the thumb sticks are trash af too. Microsoft got it right with the 360 controller.

only complaint is how small the ‘options’ button is on the DS4

Gotta disagree my dude. The layout of the XB1/Switch Pro controller is infinitely better than the PS4s.

I prefer the 8bitdo sn30+ over the switch pro controller specifically because I prefer the playstation layout.

ya I got lucky when they had a sale on the first one...$99 never seen it that low again...bought a couple...overall I have 5 of them wanted to try out the new one but I didn’t like the reviews...for $180 (@ the time) I shouldn’t be seeing multiple reviews about buttons sticking/not responding fast enough etc.
