White players lack the physical attributes, I think Europe generally has better development in other areas like skills and actually understanding the game because guys like Saric, Doncic, etc. became pros at like 14 whereas our kids have to finish HS and do college and all that. That makes up for the lack of athleticism, and lets them easily beat out our whites

I always thought because of the income gap the American white kids stay in college longer and get out already having a job cutting down who makes it to the league and I really believe that whole one and done rule set American basketball players as a whole back because the hoopers in Europe are pros when they turn 16 (Some like Ricky Rubio pro at 14) and have way more experience than a top American college player at the same age also players from Europe are always seen as having much more fundamentals

On the hierarchy of American Basketball talent just below freaks of nature are the kids of former pros from there you get Kobe, Curry, Kyrie, Kevin Love, and the swolst lightskin man alive Mike Bibby

Aside from the obvious athleticism gap, high level Youth basketball is a a very black sport even in whiter areas. Most white parents aren’t gonna want to push their kids towards being involved in a sport where they’re likely to be under the supervision and guidance of black men and surrounded by black boys.

If luka Doncic was born in America he’d be a TE or a pitcher probably.

It takes more than athleticism to be a good NBA player, and their have been plenty of athletic white players.

Chase Budinger was athletic as fukk and he was whiter than Richie Cunningham. I remember watching him in the McDonald’s All-American game and he was the best player on the floor. I thought he was gonna be a superstar in the NBA and he turned out to be a nothing journeyman.

Joe Alexander was another super athletic white boy who was a complete bust in the NBA. The Bucks drafted him with the #8 pick in 2008 and he was out of the league within 2 years.

Donte DiVencenzo had the highest vertical this year’s combine (both standing and max). And then there’s that Mac MacClung dude. There are enough athletic white American players to produce some superstars. Maybe they just aren’t into basketball like that?
